- A 3:2 sign with a soft 17 hit. Think a 3:2 table is always the better deal? Check the soft 17 rule first.
- "Push on 22" games. Blackjack Plus sounds friendly until you see how often the dealer makes 22.
- Doubles and splits lost to a dealer blackjack. Under no hole card rules, the extra money can go too, depending on the casino.
- "Rewards" that depend on turnover. Points are earned on what you bet, not on what you win.
- "Legal because licensed overseas". A foreign licence doesn't make an online casino legal to offer in Australia.
How I work
- Official sources first. The casino's own rule documents (version and date noted), state regulators and legislation.
- Numbers get a second check. If I can't confirm a figure, it doesn't go in.
- Dates are visible. Every guide shows when it was last updated.
