Why games get blocked at school
We looked at a lot of "unblocked" blackjack pages before we built ours. Most of them failed for the same few reasons. School networks usually filter the web in two layers:
- Web filters (such as GoGuardian, Securly and Lightspeed) sort sites into categories. Whole categories, such as "games", can be switched off by the school.
- Chromebook policies (set by the school's IT team) can block extensions, downloads, app installs and specific addresses.
Game pages trip those rules in predictable ways:
- Big game portals are easy to categorise, so the whole portal goes at once.
- Heavy ad networks and third-party scripts load from domains that are often blocked, and the game breaks with them.
- Flash games stopped working after Adobe ended Flash support at the end of 2020.
- Downloads and apps are usually locked on managed devices.
Why this version usually opens
I will be straight with you: no site can promise it is "unblocked" everywhere. What we can do is avoid the things that commonly break games on school devices:

We are not connected with any of those collections. Is a copy on Google Sites "wrong"? Not always. It just gives you nothing beyond the game: no rules, no help and no one to fix it when it breaks.
What to do if the page will not open

Is it OK to play blackjack at school?
That depends on your school's rules, and they come first. Here is how we see it:
- There is no money here. Practice points only. You cannot deposit, win prizes or cash out.
- Play on breaks, not in class. A hand takes about 30 seconds, which is exactly why it is easy to overdo.
- It is a real maths lesson. Why does the dealer bust more often showing a 5 or a 6? That is probability, and you can test it hand by hand.
- Real gambling is for adults. Casino gambling for money in Australia is 18+. A free card game does not change that.
Teachers: the blackjack trainer works well as a short probability activity, because every answer comes with a reason.
Quick rules at our table
- Goal: finish closer to 21 than the dealer without going over.
- Card values: 2 to 10 at face value, J, Q and K count 10, an ace counts 1 or 11.
- Dealer: draws to 16 and stands on every 17.
- No hole card: the dealer's second card comes after you finish (the Australian rule).
- Double on 9, 10 or 11, split pairs once, blackjack pays 3 to 2.
